{"id":408,"date":"2016-03-25T15:47:44","date_gmt":"2016-03-25T15:47:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/kronos.gtc.edu\/~dbeeson\/wordpress2\/?page_id=408"},"modified":"2019-05-07T08:12:52","modified_gmt":"2019-05-07T14:12:52","slug":"memorials","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/stpaulskenosha.org\/index.php\/memorials\/","title":{"rendered":"Memorials"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-946 lazyload\" data-src=\"http:\/\/stpaulkenosha.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/memorial.jpg-300x200.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" data-srcset=\"https:\/\/stpaulskenosha.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/memorial.jpg-300x200.png 300w, https:\/\/stpaulskenosha.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/memorial.jpg-272x182.png 272w, https:\/\/stpaulskenosha.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/memorial.jpg.png 615w\" data-sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 300px; --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 300\/200;\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The St. Paul\u2019s Memorials Team is in charge of managing your special contributions either in memory or in honor of a loved one, or toward special wish list items.\u00a0 The following is our basic working policy.<\/p>\n<p>Memorials are defined as money donated to the ministry of St. Paul\u2019s over and above regular offerings and contributions.\u00a0 All memorials will be made public and credit will be given to donors in the Memorials Book, updated for All Saints Day each year, which is always available for congregational viewing in the narthex.<\/p>\n<p>Labels will be considered for memorial items only, when brought before and approved by the Memorials Team.\u00a0 The Memorials Team will give discretion as to the size, placement and media of the label.\u00a0 The labels will be placed in a discreet area determined by the Memorials Team.\u00a0 As items given in memory or honor require retirement, those who gave the item will be contacted relative to the situation.\u00a0 The Memorial Team\u2019s intent is to honor people\u2019s request, but at the same time, change is inevitable.\u00a0 The appropriate communication and action will be decided on a case-by-case basis.\u00a0 Memorials may be donated in the following two ways:<\/p>\n<p><b>UNDESIGNATED MEMORIALS<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Most money donated to St. Paul\u2019s memorials is undesignated, meaning money was not given to a specific item or fund, but to be spent where needed.\u00a0 These donations will be kept track of by the Memorials Team who will make recommendations for their expenditure to the Church Council.\u00a0 Church Council will make the final decision.\u00a0 Ideas for items to purchase with undesignated memorial money may come from anyone at St. Paul\u2019s, who should first meet with the pastor and then communicate with the Memorials Team. A quote should accompany any request to purchase an item with undesignated Memorial funds.<\/p>\n<p><b>DESIGNATED MEMORIALS<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Some donors to St. Paul\u2019s memorials give to specific items on our wish list or ministries of the church.\u00a0 Inquiries about designated memorials should begin with the pastor followed by communication with the Memorials Team.\u00a0 If the ministry is an approved expenditure for the memorials funds, the Memorial Team will recommend the expenditure to Church Council and they will have the final approval for designated memorial(s).\u00a0 All requests for specific designated items should be accompanied with a quote.<\/p>\n<p><b>Our wish list:<\/b><\/p>\n<p>The renovation of the North Hall which includes but not limited to Fellowship Hall, kitchen and bathroom should be a priority.<\/p>\n<p>God\u2019s Blessings,<\/p>\n<p>Memorials Team:\u00a0 Dianne Ballard, Patricia Demos, Chris DeYoung, Kathy Falcon, Shari Krezinski-Werve, Barbara Olson, Nancy Titel, Bernie Vash.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The St. Paul\u2019s Memorials Team is in charge of managing your special contributions either in memory or in honor of a loved one, or toward special wish list items.\u00a0 The following is our basic working policy.
